Hebrews 4:13 (NIV) Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. It’s important to keep it in mind on a daily basis as you go about your day. However, I think that after awhile you become so used to this idea that it’s no longer a conscious point. it’s just with you, like your conscience viewing everything that you have to do in a day. It becomes your life. And isn’t that the point of it all? To make the Scriptures your very life. Reply In the context of Hebrews 4 – the emphasis is the Word and the power it has to lay bare our hearts and to convict us of sin against the One who is able to judge all actions. Hebrew 4:13 preceeds Hebrews 4:14 describing Jesus as our High Priest and knowing the work of Christ recognize the disobedience of ourselves (in light of the Word and the nature of God) and enter His rest through the finished work of Jesus – Yes, the Word should highlight our need to live Scripture. Well said as to our tendency to allow our lives to become a “habit” – Thus we need to let Him edit our story. Thank you an excellent point.
