“I wish now my words were written.
I wish they were inscribed on a scroll.
I wish they were forever engraved on a rock
with an iron stylus and lead.
But I know that my defender lives,

¡Ojalá alguien escribiera mis palabras
y las dejara grabadas en metal!
¡Ojalá alguien con un cincel de hierro
las grabara en plomo o en piedra para siempre!
Yo sé que mi defensor vive,
y que él será mi abogado aquí en la tierra.
